Performance & Capability
Under the hood, the 2026 Subaru Ascent is powered by a 2.4L H-4 direct injection, DOHC, variable valve control, intercooled turbo engine generating 260HP. Paired with a smooth Lineartronic CVT 8-speed automatic transmission, this powertrain achieves an EPA-estimated 19 MPG city and 25 MPG highway. Subaru's signature Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive provides exceptional traction across challenging road surfaces, complemented by a Driver Selectable Drivetrain Mode and Hill Descent Control for added operational confidence. Riding on 20-inch black finish aluminum alloy wheels with an independent front strut and rear double wishbone suspension, the Ascent delivers a quiet, balanced ride. Standard Trailer Sway Control and a factory trailer wiring harness ensure this vehicle is equipped to handle light utility tasks without sacrificing interior refinement.
Technology & Connectivity
Inside the cabin, advanced intuitive technology keeps everyone connected and entertained. The focal point of the dashboard is the Subaru 11.6-Inch Multimedia System with Navigation, featuring touchscreen control, clear graphics, and seamless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto smart device integration. Audio is delivered through an immersive Harman/Kardon 14-Speaker Sound System driven by a 792W amplifier and Quantum Logic Surround Sound digital signal processor. To keep passenger communication effortless across all three rows, the built-in Cabin Connect Intercom allows front occupants to speak directly to rear passengers through the speaker system. Additional features include 6 USB ports distributed throughout the cabin, a Smart Rear-View Mirror video-feed display, SiriusXM with 360L, and integrated mobile hotspot capability.
