Subaru Loves Pets – Pet Adoptions - Jen W

One of the things I admire most about Hawk Subaru is their commitment to helping pets in need. I’ve attended several of their pet adoption events over this past year, and each one has been an incredible experience. The showroom fills with wagging tails, curious cats, and smiling families, and you can just feel the joy in the air. What stands out to me is that these events aren’t just about one or two animals — they happen throughout the year, and together they result in dozens of pets finding safe, loving homes. Every time I see a family leaving with their new dog or cat, I’m reminded how much of a difference these events make, not only for the animals but also for the people whose lives are changed by adoption. It’s rare to see a car dealership so invested in giving back to the community in such a meaningful way. Hawk Subaru makes it clear that the Subaru Loves Pets promise is more than just words. They are truly helping reduce the number of homeless pets while creating countless happy endings for families like mine. That’s why I’ll always support their events — they bring hope, joy, and love to our entire community.

🧣 Subaru Loves to Care – Blanket Distribution - Jennifer N

Being part of the Subaru Loves to Care Blanket Distribution this year was an experience I’ll never forget. I had the honor of delivering blankets to the Fox Valley Cancer Center in Ottawa, Illinois, alongside two incredible Subaru Ambassadors, J. Mykell Hill and Christine Hill from Subies of the Corn. They are truly the heart of our Love Promise efforts here at Hawk Subaru, and we couldn’t accomplish what we do without their passion and dedication. What made the day even more special was having my husband and children by my side. Together, we carried blankets into the center, and I could see the gratitude and hope on the faces of patients and their families. Something as simple as a blanket can provide comfort during one of the most difficult times in someone’s life, and it meant the world to me that my family got to share in that moment of giving. That day reminded me why the Love Promise matters so much — it’s about people coming together, showing kindness, and making sure no one in our community feels alone in their fight. It’s a privilege to be part of this mission, and I’m so grateful to Subaru and to the Ambassadors who stand with us to make a real difference.

Subaru Loves to Care – Blood Drive - Chad S

Working at Hawk Subaru, I’ve always been proud of how much we give back to our community, but our recent blood drive really hit home for me. I decided to donate that day, and it was such a powerful experience. Sitting in the chair, I thought about the patients who might one day receive my donation — someone in surgery, someone fighting cancer, or even a neighbor in an emergency. What touched me most was seeing so many people come together under our roof for one common cause. Customers, community members, and staff all rolled up their sleeves, literally, to help save lives. It reminded me that Subaru’s Love Promise isn’t just words — it’s action. That day, I wasn’t just an employee, I was part of something bigger, and I left knowing that what we do here truly makes a difference in the health and strength of our community.

🌱 Subaru Loves the Earth – Tree Distribution - Patrick M

When I heard Hawk Subaru was giving away free trees, I thought it would just be a nice way to add some greenery to my yard. But when I got there, I realized it was so much more than that. Families were lined up, kids excited to carry their little trees, and everyone was talking about where they planned to plant them. It reminded me that small acts like planting a tree add up to something much bigger — cleaner air, more shade, and a greener community for all of us. I’m proud to know that Subaru is investing in the health of our neighborhoods and setting an example of how businesses can help protect our planet.

Subaru Loves to Help® Food Drive - Matthew Y

As part of Subaru Loves to Help®, Hawk Subaru and Subies of the Corn (SOTC) hosted the 2nd Annual Food Drive and Delivery Cruise, collecting/donating 1,712 pounds of food to the Northern Illinois Food Bank. The donation will provide 1,434 meals for those in our area experiencing food insecurity. SOTC members loaded the collected food into their Subarus and headed out for a winding 70-mile cruise to deliver the food to the food bank. The Northern Illinois Food Bank, which serves 13 counties in Northern Illinois, received the canned goods donation at a crucial moment, as their inventory was low during a period of high demand.
